Frequently Asked Questions

Memberships

1. Should I pay hourly or get a membership?

It depends on how often you plan to train. At $55 per hour, if you’re using the facility more than 3 times per month, a membership is the smarter choice. Members also get discounted add-ons, exclusive access, and after-hours entry with a PIN.

For occasional users, hourly rentals work great. You can even split the cost with friends at no extra charge.

2. Can memberships be shared between families?

No. Memberships are for individuals and their immediate families only. Friends must either:

  • Rent a tunnel at the $55 hourly rate, or

  • Come as a guest (max of 2 per visit, each paying the Member Guest Fee)

3. Can I bring friends?

  • Hourly Rentals ($55/hour): Yes, bring friends and split the cost however you like. No guest fee applies.

  • Memberships: Members may bring up to 2 guests per visit. Guests pay a Member Guest Fee. This helps us maintain the value of memberships for everyone by keeping member pricing exclusive.

4. Do unused hours roll over?

No. Hours reset each month. This keeps scheduling fair and memberships affordable for everyone.

5. What if I exceed my monthly hours?

You’re a beast. Extra hours are only $20/hour. If you’re going over often, upgrading to the MLB Plan (14 hours/month) may make more sense.

6. Can I freeze or pause my membership?

No. Memberships are month-to-month and can only be canceled. Members must call or contact us directly to cancel, and we encourage doing so before the beginning of the next billing cycle. Please note: if there is a waitlist and you cancel, rejoining later may depend on waitlist availability.

7. Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. All memberships are month-to-month. If you’d like to cancel, we ask that you contact us directly before your renewal date so we can process it for you. If memberships are full when you want to rejoin, you may be placed on a waitlist.

8. How do I sign up for a membership?

Memberships can be purchased directly through our booking site.

9. Is there a limit on memberships?

Yes. We cap memberships to make sure everyone has fair access to tunnel time.

10. Why would I need a membership in the summer?

Because Alaska weather is brutal. Outdoor batting practice means rain, wind, lost balls, and finding pitchers or fielders. Indoors, you show up, flip a switch, and train—no wasted reps, no wasted time.

Facility Use

11. What equipment is provided?

Every tunnel comes equipped with training tools so you can focus on getting better:

  • Machines: 4 Jugs baseball + 2 Jugs fastpitch softball machines (each with feeders)

  • Balls & Tees: 20+ tees, dozens of machine balls, and game balls

  • Pitching Tools: 2 portable mounds, 2 pitch pockets

  • Tech: Radar gun (Tunnel 4), 2 HitTrax systems (3rd on the way)

12. Is HitTrax included?

HitTrax is a high-tech system that provides advanced data analytics for training and a gaming/entertainment featurefor fun. Because it’s an expensive piece of equipment with ongoing maintenance costs, we do charge a small fee for its use.  Members are expected to book the HitTrax add-on at the time of their reservation.  If you forget to add it during booking but still use the HitTrax system, the add-on fee will automatically be charged to your account.

  • Members receive a discounted HitTrax rate.

  • Hourly renters can add it at the regular rate.

13. What age groups can use the facility?

Peak is designed for players of all ages and skill levels—from youth just starting out to college athletes.

14. What safety rules should I know before booking?

  • Batting helmets are required when hitting live or from machines.

  • Youth players must be supervised by an adult.

  • No food, gum, or sunflower seeds in the tunnels.

  • Respect your time slot—leave promptly so the next group can start on time.

15. How do I find out availability?

Create a free account on our booking site. You’ll be able to browse the live calendar for available times. No credit card is needed until you reserve.

16. How do I access the facility after hours?

Members receive a personal PIN that grants access to the building between 5:30 AM and 10:00 PM during their confirmed rental times.

Teams & Coaches

17. Can I bring my team in for practice?

Yes. Teams can rent dedicated time at $750 per month (2 hours per week). You’ll get two tunnels (either both long tunnels or one long + one HitTrax), and we’ll help schedule so you never fight for space.

18. Can I host my own tournaments?

Yes! With the HitTrax gaming feature, you can run your own indoor tournaments—great for keeping competition alive in the off-season. Contact us to set one up.

19. Do you offer private lessons through Peak?

Yes. Peak has its own coaches available for private lessons, and families can hire them directly. We also partner with independent coaches who use the facility. If you’re interested in lessons, please contact us for more information and we’ll connect you with the right coach.

20. Can I hire my own personal coach?

Absolutely. We encourage it. Peak does not charge coaches to work here, but all players training in a tunnel must either:

  • Be a member

  • Pay the Member Guest Fee (max 2 per visit — this helps maintain the value of memberships for everyone)

  • Or book the tunnel at the $55 hourly rate

21. Do you offer fundraising opportunities?

Yes! Peak offers HitTrax Hit-A-Thons — a fun and competitive way for teams or programs to raise money. Players collect pledges and then hit on HitTrax, where every swing is tracked with real-time data and projected distances.

Teams typically raise thousands of dollars in a single event, and the players love it because it feels like a game, not a chore. Contact us to learn more about setting up a Hit-A-Thon for your team or organization.
